www.FisherKane.com is live!
Finally Fisher Kane has a place to put up pictures, MP3s, and show dates!
Fisher Kane will be playing a show on March 23 at Academy Bar & Eatery (414 Academy Rd.)
The graphics folks at my place of work, DMT, were cool enough to take the time and make me up some posters -- now we just need to get some more gigs so we can use them all!

A heated discussion in the booth.
The Horribly Awfuls did some recording last night at Mid-Ocean Studios. I was worried about how it was going to go, but it was all very relaxed, and we had a lot of fun. I've put up a photoset for y'all to see.
The songs sounded so great after all the vocals were added — I can't wait to hear the finished product!
I guess the solution is to restrict access to the folder that contains this file... but I suspect there might be some bugs in the code as well.
So far so good though - I got a little message from someone through Textbo a while ago that said "Hacked :)" but there weren't any changes to my site. Guess my password was too hard to crack?
Anyway, I hope the author of the software fixes this.
Been playing drums for a couple bands here in Winnipeg. We've got some MP3s up on MySpace.com... but I really need to make up some official sites - MySpace is great for promotion, but it's a bit tacky.

Also, check out Pandora. This is a tool by the Music Genome Project - it asks what artists you're interested in, and then finds and plays for you similar styles of music. It has introduced me to a lot of great music: Cocteau Twins, The Motels, Frou Frou, Goldspot, Robyn Hitchcock & The Egyptians, Dwight Twilley... Of course, the music stores had none of this, but I did find "Life's Too Good" by The Sugarcubes.

Here is the final photoset.

My latest creation! I call it "Textbo". It allows you to send messages to my mobile phone!

The LiveHTTPHeaders extension for Firefox was really useful for analyzing the headers I needed to fake for this.
A lamp that looks like a tube amplifier... Hmm, that wouldn't be too tough to make - I'll add that to my list of projects I never start :)

Some amazing landscapes that I didn't even know existed in Manitoba:

If I ever do a road trip in the States, this is a definite stop - A surreal metal sculpture park:

Hopped the pond and landed in England. Man I love airports. Here's the England photoset - a little disorganized but I hope to figure it out soon :)
Got a stupid parking ticket this morning. Apparently there's a residential parking ban due to the snow removal. They say it's announced on the radio... but who listens to the radio anymore? Well, it looks like you can sign up for their email notification... I just wish someone had told me this sooner!!!

Some really nice wallpapers. I've seen some of these in person.

A whole bunch live Throwing Muses recordings. I recommend: "Muses in NYC w/ Tanya, 4/26/03" - it's good quality.
